What is "ATLARGE"?
ATLARGE is an annual gathering in Atlantic City of poker
players who
originally "met" and/or still participate on the Internet Newsgroup rec.gambling.poker
(rgp). We get together in different poker friendly
locations throughout the US during the year to have fun and PLAY POKER.
Our biggest annual meeting is called BARGE and it is held in Las Vegas
in August. ATLARGE is the Atlantic City version, and is held in early
March
of every year.
ATLARGE stands for: ATLantic
city Annual RecGambling
Excursion.
Historically, the attendance at ATLARGE is second only to BARGE. In
most years, from 160 to 200 r00lerz from all over the planet bring the
good times
to Atlantic City for four days of fun and p0cker. The most recent
ATLARGE events have been held at the fabulous TRUMP TAJ MAHAL, the
largest card room in Atlantic
City.
Last year we played three tournaments: H.O.E., No-Limit
Hold'em, and 7-Card Stud. Each even cost approximately $120, including
registration
fee dealer tokes. The events have often been sponsored by our friends
at the fabulous
TRUMP TAJ MAHAL who graciously supply our HOSPITALITY SUITE and FOOD
COMPS, and PokerStars, whose generosity is rapidly becoming legendary
in
our group, and with good reason. Thanks to both for their continued
